read his STORY

MARK MURPHY, JR.

A lifetime of building in Michigan.

Chapter One · Detroit

It starts in a wicker chair.

Mark A. Murphy, Jr., Age 5 — District 10, Michigan Mark, around age five.

A Detroit kid in his good sweatshirt, sitting still just long enough for the camera flash. The block outside that frame sounded like blocks all over District 10 — snow shovels scraping in January, screen doors slapping in July, neighbors who knew your last name before you could spell it.

Mark Murphy has been a Michigander every day of his life.

Born and raised throughout Metro Detroit, he's not a transplant with talking points. He's a product of the greatest place on Earth and 100% Michigan-made.

Chapter Two · The House That Made Him

Wealth measured in people.

Mark A. Murphy, Jr., Age 10 — District 10, Michigan Mark at age eleven - the 1990s. The Pistons jacket was non-negotiable.

A Christmas tree by the window. A family portrait on the wall. A mother's arm around every shoulder she could reach.

Mark was raised in a household that stretched dollars the way District 10 families still do around the kitchen table after the bills came in.

If you've ever done that "tight budget" math yourself, you don't have to explain it to him.

Chapter Three · The Work

He fixes what wastes time & money.

Mark A. Murphy, Jr. — District 10, Michigan The builder

Mark built his career as an operational-excellence consultant and entrepreneur, the person companies call when the system is broken, profits are down, and the excuses have run out.

He founded one of Michigan's largest independent delivery-driver networks, creating economic opportunity for thousands of hardworking Michiganders.

He intends to walk into Lansing the same way he walks into any broken operation: find the waste, make the connections, deliver the result. Politics as usual is just a system nobody's been made to fix yet.

Chapter Four · Home

Husband. Father of four. Our Neighbor.

Mark A. Murphy, Jr. Family. Wife and Children— District 10, Michigan Mark & family - Orchard Saturdays. Michigan.

Orchard Saturdays and school-morning scrambles. A trunk full of cleats and car seats. When Mark says "lower costs for families," he's holding the same receipt you are, the grocery total that keeps climbing, the utility bill you open slowly because of running the A/C during the unbearable heat in July.

Mark A. Murphy, Jr. is running because of the people standing next to him in this photo and the 180,000 neighbors who deserve a senator who shows up, listens first, and gets things done.

YOU are more powerful than you think.

Primaries are decided by the people who actually show up. This district is brand new. No incumbent, no machine, no one already in control. Whoever shows up on August 4th picks District 10's first senator.

You determine what happens next for all of us.
